Artist Statement

This mini-selection here is a few of my very first analog shots. I find myself capturing a strong independent moment that is rich within the frame.

Going a little more deeper in my storytelling, I am generally offering an object through colour, a person through a gesture, a piece through light. My eye as a photographer remains actively open to my surroundings, and I just let it flow in capturing coincidental, accidental and unexpected connections, as you can see in this edit. My order-obsessive attention often leads me in front of regular building’s shapes or silhouettes. Nevertheless, I am far from having a preferred subject and I I love to think the one who add meanings to my shots it's not me, but the viewer. I am obsessed with the traces of human presence in the urban landscape. Still I don’t push for emotions such as nostalgia or melancholy. “Loneliness has followed me my whole life, everywhere. In bars, in cars, sidewalks, stores, everywhere. There's no escape.” I am not seeking for lonely men or isolated figures to be caught, but accidentally the city offers so many hints of loneliness I find myself a wandering (and harmless) Travis Bickle on feet.
